Responding to news that border patrol had fired tear gas on migrants and asylum-seekers at the southern border, a Fox News guest said, “It’s natural. You could actually put it on your nachos and eat it.”
The guest was Ron Colburn, the former national chief of the U.S. Border Patrol and current president of the Border Patrol Foundation. His belief that this weekend’s use of tear gas was justified. “Absolutely,” Colburn said when asked if the use of tear gas was warranted. “To clarify: The type of deterrent being used is OC pepper spray. It’s literally water, pepper, with a small amount of alcohol for evaporation purposes.”
Colburn also asserted that the group of asylum-seekers — most of whom are fleeing oppression and violence in Central America, and were turned into a midterm campaign issue by President Trump — had entitlement issues. The so-called caravan “has a core of violence to it that basically communicates a sense of entitlement,” he said. “These are persons that one would like to think are true refugees but they are not showing that in their actions.”

Inside Candace Owens’ $37,500 Reparation Check
Months after graduating Stamford High in Connecticut, Candace Owens received $37,500 from the government after Owens received racist voice mails. This is the same woman who claims that racism doesn’t exist– and that she “made it on her own.”
The supposed ringleader was fellow student Evan Kopek, who “had a shouting match” with Owens two days before the incident in February 2007. Kopek was suspended, but the school refused to “discipline him and the other boys for an incident committed off school grounds unless the police made an arrest.” This decision caused Owens to miss school for six weeks because “it was traumatic to attend with the alleged callers.”
The NAACP even offered its support.
Years later, during a 2019 appearance at CPAC, the annual conservative conference, Owens had this to say about racism in America (via Daily Beast). “Stop selling us our own oppression,” she said. “Stop taking away our self-confidence by telling us that we can’t because of racism, because of slavery. I’ve never been a slave in this country.”
Oliver North Resigns: NRA Civil War Goes Public
Wayne LaPierre, who has been the public face of the NRA for decades, claims that the NRA is in serious trouble and may shut down after the latest public battle. The civil war between NRA executive vice president Wayne LaPierre and now-departing NRA president Oliver North exploded into the open Friday night with yelling, threats and screaming.
In a statement read to members of the group Saturday, North said he believes a committee should be set up to review the NRA’s finances. He said there is a “clear crisis” and “it needs to be dealt with” if the NRA is to survive.
He also then said he is resigning, and will not seek re-election.
Making this weirder, NRA is currently suing their public relations firm, Ackerman McQueen, over access to documents detailing how the firm spent the NRA’s money.
NRA board members grew increasingly concerned about whether they were getting their money’s worth from their long time advertising and PR firm; according to financial documents cited in The New Yorker, the NRA paid Ackerman McQueen just under $41 million in 2017 for ads that often just involved a logo. North is also an employee of Ackerman McQueen.

North had sent a letter to the NRA board contending that the NRA had paid for, through a vendor, more than $200,000 of clothing purchases by LaPierre, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Additionally, there is an issue that the NRA has been delving into topics that have nothing to do with gun education and rights. Some members claim the NRA has compromised its values and is more aligned with politicians and enamored of power than its membership.
As a non-profit, they could be in trouble, if its found they are ignoring their primary mission and working in politics.
New York State could close down the NRA entirely by moving for dissolution if found that they are not following the law. As a nonprofit chartered in New York, the NRA falls under New York law and the purview of the NRA-hating NY Attorney General. She has frequently expressed her desire to tear down the organization, and has been signaling a pending investigation into NRA finances.
MAGA Border Militia Weirdo Has Been Plotting Assassinations for years.
The leader of an armed militia that’s been detaining migrants at the border was just arrested over the weekend, but he’s been on the FBI’s radar since at least October 2017 for allegedly plotting assassinations, according to federal documents unsealed Monday.
The FBI received a tip in late 2017 that Larry Mitchell Hopkins, who heads the United Constitutional Patriots, claimed he was training his group to assassinate liberal billionaire George Soros, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton because of their “support of antifa,” and was stockpiling guns despite being a felon.
After the civil liberties group called on New Mexico’s governor and attorney general to investigate the militia’s activities, Hopkins was arrested for possessing a firearm as a felon, which is itself a felony.
Hopkins, who also goes by the alias Johnny Horton Jr., has been described as the “commander” of the United Constitutional Patriots, a militia group that has recently been detaining asylum-seeking families at the southern border, drawing outcry from local politicians and activists.
In a court filing Monday, FBI special agent David S. Gabriel said FBI agents “immediately observed approximately 10 firearms” upon entering what Hopkins told them was his “office,” inside his home in northern New Mexico in November 2017. Per the filing, Hopkins told the officers the guns belonged to his “common law wife.”
Hopkins has prior convictions for felony possession of a firearm and felony impersonation of a peace officer.
Videos posted to Facebook showed members of the militia rounding up hundreds of migrants at a time at gunpoint, including many children, forcing them to kneel in the dirt, before turning them over to Border Patrol.
Earlier this month, UCP set up a base near the border, claiming that Border Patrol had asked for their help.
In a statement last week, Border Patrol said that they do “not endorse private groups or organizations taking enforcement matters into their own hands.”
